South Wales location-based baby and newborn photographer

South Wales location-based engagement photographer

We have re-vamped the popular location-based portrait area of our website. Adding lots of new images from recent sessions but also adding new galleries that now separate the areas of portrait photography that Nic regularly shoots.

We now have separate image galleries for Bump to Baby, Newborn/Baby, Couples, Families, Children and Location-studio shoots. Hopefully this will make it easier for new clients to find examples of the type of photography they are looking for, before they call to book their session.

Remember that available dates for outdoor summer sessions are now filling up rapidly, because we limit the number of sessions Nic photographs and have to carefully plan these shoots in and around his existing full wedding calendar.

An outdoor summer family location-based portrait session, is a great idea for producing gift ideas for the rest of the family at Xmas, so don’t leave it until we hit late Autumn or early Winter when the weather turns cold and wet.

If you’d like more information on our popular South Wales location-based family portrait services, please click here. To visit our new gallery page click here, and to read more on how these sessions work, click here.

We look forward to hearing from, and photographing you and your family soon.

Nic Cleave Photography joins Facebook!

Monday, June 7th, 2010

After years of resisting social networking sites (for fears of Nic spending even more time in front of the computer than he currently does,) we have been receiving such a high volume of ‘friend requests’ from past and present clients, that we have decided to create a Nic Cleave Photography Facebook page.

Click here if you’d like to visit us on Facebook and please leave a message or send us a friend request so we can stay in touch with you.

Although we’ll be posting recent news and a few images from recent weddings and location-based portrait sessions Nic has photographed, we will still be using this blog as the main area for previewing Nic’s most recent work, news, and for displaying the kind comments he receives from his couples and families.

We are looking forward to hearing from all of you soon and especially to catching up with a few former clients that we haven’t heard from for a year or two.

Mumbles wedding venue Norton House Hotel recommends Nic Cleave Photography

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

We are proud to announce our close connection with Norton House Hotel, one of Mumble’s premiere wedding venues in Swansea. Nic is the only ‘recommended’ wedding photographer by the Hotel and is pleased to have supplied his work  for the Norton House Website, and to have it on view inside the reception area of the hotel.

After photographing one of the first weddings at the venue in September 2009 (see images above,)  the hotel has been sold to a new owner with new staff and big investment plans. It has a growing reputation as one of the best venues in Mumbles to hold a wedding and is also licensed for civil ceremonies, allowing your whole day to be held under one roof.

Catering from 15 for up to 130 people, Norton House can offer traditional accommodation, exquisite dining and excellent service to guarantee you and your guests a most memorable wedding day. The picture perfect grounds and sweeping staircase will provide wonderful photographic opportunities for many years to come. A personal wedding planner will ensure that your special day is stress free to let you relax and enjoy your day.

If you have enjoyed the images above from a recent Norton House Hotel wedding, you can view the complete storybook album from this wedding in the reception area of the hotel, or a digital version of the same album on our website here. Alternatively we have a hard copy of the album in our studio which is available to view to couples who come to meet with us in person.

If you’re planning a wedding in Swansea, Mumbles or South Wales, we can highly recommend the services at Norton House Hotel, and Nic looks forward to photographing the story of your special day there soon.

Contemporary Wedding photography training course

We often receives requests from the growing numbers of people interested in becoming wedding photographers for advice and help, so in early 2009 we set up our popular ‘Contemporary Wedding Photography training Course.’

2009 saw Nic accompanied by a handful of lucky individuals who all benefited from his award-winning wedding photography experience, openness and former business training experience. With a limit of one delegate per wedding, comments and feedback were very positive and we were convinced to keep the course running for 2010.

We now have only a few dates left for the 2010 year, so if you’re reading this and want to find out more, please click here and don’t delay in contacting us for available dates. We are of course also taking bookings for 2011 training days. Good luck with your photography!

South Wales wedding fayres 2010

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

We’d like to thank all the couples who came along to meet us on our stand at the wedding fayre last Sunday at the Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel in Coychurch Bridgend. A special thank you to the two couples who booked their 2011 weddings with us at the fayre, and to the other couples who scheduled meetings at our studio over the next few weeks, to discuss their requirements in more detail.

If you were at this fayre, thank you for visiting us. We hope you found the event useful and look forward to hearing from a few more couples who came along and spoke with us, over the next few weeks and months.

In two weeks time we’ll be attending our last fayre of the winter at the New House Hotel near Cardiff on Sunday February 21st. If you’re thinking of coming along to the fayre to see us, please contact us and let us know, so that we can expect you. The few fayres we select to attend each year are usually incredibly busy, so if we know that you are coming we can set asside specific time to speak with you. This will be our last appearance at a wedding fayre until autumn/winter this year, so your last chance to visit us ‘on the road.’

Good luck with your wedding planning, and as we said to many couples at the fayre, if photography is high up on your list of priorities, please don’t delay in booking your photographer (even if it’s not Nic!) Nic can only photograph one wedding per day and once a date is confirmed it’s gone for another year, leaving some couples having to select their second or third choice of photographer. Please don’t let this happen to you.

Nic.
